Super confused about headlight options

So I took off my cracked headlight and looked inside the DRL chamber and look what I found (see photo) - nvm I guess this isn’t the DRL chamber but the OSRAM HID bulb chamber, DRL module is actually underneath the headlight assembly and not in this chamber

Why does my DRL module say OSRAM on it lol - nvm again, this is the HID bulb chamber not DRL chamber

Shouldn’t that be a VW/Audi part, not an OSRAM part?

Vw outsources a lot of their parts, like most auto manufacturers do.

If my DRL is not working, what part do I need to change? The DRL module 4G0907697G or part OSRAM 66340HBI OEM…or both?

The osram part you listed is an HID bulb, which isn't part of the DRL.

Is that OSRAM bulb not part of the DRL?

OSRAM 66340HBI is the HID bulb, for low and high beam. Nothing to do with the DRL. The LEDs on the DRL are not replaceable on their own. So the problem could be the DRL module, but you might also need a new headlamp assembly.

Thats what I’m wondering about too then. Are there LEDs for the DRL and is that another part I need to order, or are the LEDs part of the headlight assembly? If it’s another part, what’s the part number?

Part of the assembly, the DRL LEDs are not replaceable.
