Car(s)
2016 GTI Autobahn
Well, didn't think I’d be selling the car I just bought but so it goes. My last GTI has come up for sale and as much as I like this one, I like my last one more and regretted selling it so it’s time to move on.

2016 Autobahn with 67K miles, DSG, lighting and performance package, DCC shocks. I am the 2nd owner, no accidents, zero issues clean title in hand. Other notable mods:

- Neuspeed RSE-10 wheels (37K miles)
- APR downpipe (30K miles)
- APR coil packs (30K miles)
- APR roll control springs (37K miles)
- Injen intake
- Magnaflow stainless exhaust
- Megan racing rear sway bar
- P3 Boost guage

Previous owner was near APR headquarters and had them flash the Stage 2 ECU tune and TCU tune, then almost got to FBO Stage 2 but never installed an aftermarket intercooler. I was leery of buying this car because of the mods but the PO was my age (49) and just wanted a project. This car was never abused, just some fun on ramps and commuter driving. I have most of the OEM parts that will go with the car.

He kept a very detailed account of maintenance, which included a DSG service at 59K, brake pads and rotors at 66K, steel oil pan at 41K, and regular oil changes with Amsoil. Since purchasing, I’ve added quite a bit of maintenance as well. I immediately smelled coolant and as such, with the extended warranty on water pumps and thermostat housings, had my local VW dealer (Flow VW) replace the thermostat housing and coolant, as well as re-seal the oil pan, change the oil, and change weeping timing guide seals. A carbon cleaning was done as well. Lastly I replaced the factory rear sway bar end links with Moog units.

As for the exterior, it’s generally in very good shape. The front bumper had a re-spray a year or so back, and looks great. Some paint nicks here and there, mainly on the hood, from general driving but nothing major. If you’re a detail fanatic the paint could stand some clay bar and a polish as I can see some hard watermarks. The headlights work perfectly but could stand a quick polish. No cracks or delaminating though. Lastly I’m happy to say the sunroof operates perfectly and doesn’t leak at all.

The interior is excellent. PO was a non smoker, no kids, no pets, and the back seats had never been used until I bought it (no joke, the packaging was still taped around the seat belt latches on the seat bottoms). I have two kids, so I installed a factory VW seat cover and have been meticulous with cleaning up after them.

There are a few small issues as noted: 1) The black trim around the sunroof has the common clear coat issues that a lot of people seem to have (pics below). 2) I have some bad clear coat on the front red stripe on the grill (pictured). 3) It seems the PO got a little carried away with jack stand placement at some point and the car fell off onto the sill right next to the jacking point on the passenger side. I’ve pictured this as well. Glad he’s ok, but sucks that this is dented. The trim is fine and did not break. 4) The passenger front wheel was curbed last weekend avoiding something in the road (pictured). I have an appointment to have this professionally repaired next week.

All in all this is a solid, reliable car with zero issues and low mileage for its age. It’s been very well taken care of. My price is negotiable, but please be reasonable. I can help with delivery within a 2-3 hour radius of Greensboro, NC, or you could have some fun and fly and drive. Happy to set up pre-purchase inspections at your expense if you like. Carfax in hand for those interested.
