I think it is a bit crazy the recommended air filter change interval is 60K miles.

Yet no VW dealer will let you think you can make it 10k miles with one.

It may vary by year but yes in all the schedules I've seen. Even shopdap doesn't advise to do it any sooner.

Mine had 35k on it and was vede bad
I'll b checking/cleaning more often, it made a difference...

I agree. I would change both the air filter and cabin filter much more often than VW says. Surprising that VW would say that because of trying to get people to spend more money on maintenance.

Yeah and rotate your tires more often when they're telling you next prepaid service appointment is every 10k miles
