SneekyTuned waiting period?

Hey guys! im brand new here,, just got my 2018 mk7.5 6MT in September with 6k miles. Currently since then ive done- intake, FMIC, front splitter, side splitters, and rear diffuser, turbo inlet, Downpipe, and catback.. also on cobb AP.. i ordered my OTS Sneekytuned map on Saturday its now Thursday is this normal waiting period for an email tune? I also got an EQT tune on Monday and received it in my email 2 days later.. but still nothing from Sneeky.. i also emailed them the same day i bought the tune with a question still no answer... im sure they are busy and everything but at least EQT answered my email and sent me the tune very quickly..,

Heads up with a downpipe in MA, you might have problems with emissions.

It seems EQT likes to forget I gave them my money...lol

Im sure they'll deliver, but damn I wish they'd just be honest with me.

I ordered my EQT two days after my Sneekytuned. I got my EQT tune 2 days later. This was all alittle over 2 weeks ago, just waiting for sneeky now

Heads up with a downpipe in MA, you might have problems with emissions.

Yes I know, I do have a CEL right now with it, if I can’t get the CEL to go away I will have to swap my downpipe. In MA I’m pretty sure we just plug in the OBD and do a visual. No? I was just with a Honda buddy last night who was telling me he has seen cars in MA hooked to the exhaust but I never have read that before or heard of that. Us MA guys have a thread going about that exact thing. And a few guys have passed with downpipe and cat back. If I’m to loud but no cel I’ll throw stock cat back on as it’s easier to swap in and out, if I can’t get the cel to go away I’ll have to swap my downpipe it only takes me about an hour but would rather avoid it

MA emissions is a visual and a readiness check. You are allowed one sensor not ready. No CEL's and no recent CEL clears. MA used to use tailpipe sniffers and dynos, but that was a long time ago.

How do you guys go about logging info to send back for a revision? I have not got the tune yet but im not sure if there are certain steps or driving situations i need to take when logging. Do i send multiple logs from driving? Just email it back? Never done that before so just wondering.

Go to the companies website and they'll have a list of items they want logged on the AP to be able to do a revision. Better yet schedule a remote dyno tune and be done in 3 hours without risking getting speeding tickets doing street logs. It obviously cost more but you'll be done in 3 hours versus weeks to maybe get 6-8 revisions.

Exactly. You'll need a dyno place familiar with the AP and they will run it on their dyno and email the log to the tuner and get a revision emailed back. Mine was 8 revisions and a total of 3 1/2 hours. It was so nice leaving knowing I'm finished.

Yes that definitely sounds like the way to go. I’ll have to start doing my research and seeing what’s around. Thanks!

Sounds like Sneeky & EQT have the same assistant answering their emails.
Simply can't get good Customer service these days. SMH

We all got Amazoned. We expect super fast same day service for everything. This is a very niche market, with shops that have one, maybe two people doing the tuning tops. I imagine that the skill set of a tuner is very difficult to recruit for. Way she goes with this.

Yea I totally agree, both companies are small I imagine and only hire a few people. So imagine all the car owners wanting sneeky or eqt maps. Then all the emails they get with questions answered already numerous times lol

I really hope I get it this week the suspense! The order was made 1/22 thought I was getting close when he asked if I was still on a stock clutch about a week ago. Atleast his business must be thriving!
