The powerstop track pads, have you run them before? Curious as to your thoughts!
I’m infatuated with them!

Dusty as a West Virginia coal mine when you summon them more than 25% (such as spirited canyon drives or aggressive street/highway work), but they’re the first and ONLY brake pads I’ve found in 15 years that truly meet or exceed expectations.

Between the retired race car (640bhp GTO), Stormy (GTI), the work truck (old Camry), and hundreds of customer cars, I have run:

Hawk HPS and HPS 5.0

EBC RedStuff 💩 (worst pad I’ve ever tried)

Wagner TQs (2nd worst pad ever)

Raybestos ceramics

Wearever Gold semi-metallics from Advance Auto (these performed on par with the HPS for 1/2 the cost and none of the squeals or headaches)

Porterfield R4S

Powerstop Z17, Z23 and now their TDS pads.

The TDS pads feel like a high end BmW pad to me. Stock like behavior to modulate, insane grip when you ask for it, and somehow they trail brake effortlessly, meaning the release is progressive and predictable.

In short: I’m a huge fan.

I should talk to PS about a sponsorship. 😆 🔧 💵

Oh, and the key to handling brake dust is an obvious one I discovered late in life:

Hand clean your wheels, remove them from the car, coat them with a sealant or ceramic coating, and enjoy hitting them with water to knock brake dust right off moving forward!

Cuts all the headache out of brake dust woes and filthy wheels. 🥰 🧼

Lemme know if this info helps anyone.

Nice! I might try those as my next set of track pads!

I'm surprised you survived EBC reds on track haha, even yellows are sketchy haha.

+1 on the ceramic coat, I did that with my wheels and clean up is effortless.
