Absolutely! I've worked with both atmospheric bounce and tropospheric ducting. My signals are often weak on the west coast from Virginia, but they make it. I've also talked to Europe. I worked South America years ago with the same equipment, but I haven't reached anyone there with this particular setup yet. I don't spend a lot of time searching for distant stations. Most of my activity involves event support and "Parks on the Air," which is mostly domestic and Canadian stations who call me when I'm in a park.Utilitarian!
