The Aluminum street shield skit plate?

Metal oil pan kit with hardware and silicone is like $60, so $230 is a bit of a jump. For me though the shield won't fit my car, 4motion GSW only. I've already dented the transmission pan and swapped that, so figure a metal oil pan is cheap insurance.

Plus some of the shields you can't run with FMICs and such, so it just kinda depends on individual setup.
This is my boat.....I verified the allroad doesn’t fit with FMIC folks. Plus, the fcpeuro oil pan kit is loads cheaper than a plate option

I like my OEM skid tray which has brackets which bolt to the front crash bar chassis rails as opposed to metal pan that attaches to plastic bumper.
The skid tray is quite solid and provides excellent protection. https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/inde...nder-trays-stone-guards-to-a-mk7-golf.320687/

As for the OP's situation if it is not leaking, I would put proper length bolt in and call it a day. I punched a hole in a motorcycle engine casing. I used JB Weld to patch the hole, and ran it for years with no issues.
