5000 mile trip? holy hell!!

Tell me about it.... i ordered a replacement lower seat cushion and cover - my butt was so sore after the ride.... gotta figure out a better solution for sure & hoping the new cushion is part of the solution!

Man, I hope that works for you. For me, I’d have to buy a replacement seat but hoping your back is more resilient.

The truck looks great! Let me know if you come out to CO and we’ll go wheeling with a few friends and my brother’s GX470.

Your 80 Rabbit L was my first car, got in my junior year @ high school with my own money. Mine was same color as yours. Still reading the rest of your thread lol but wanted to comment on the 80 Rabbit. Sadly I do not have any pictures, there was only one polaroid instant ever taken of it and that was prom w/ my girlfriend. That picture mysteriously disappeared some years ago thank to my stepmother. Anyway, saw yours and was instantly catapulted back to that era. I friggin miss that car, been looking for another and did find a Mk1 "trophy" for sale over in Sweden I think it was.

Yep I never really got over selling my 80. To this day I still miss her. I should have never sold her. Sadly where I live I could not justify driving it as the suburban sprawl is out of control. Most SUVs would swallow my 80 with ease. Anyway... keep your eyes open and get another one!
