I'm 99% sure, from the pic you posted, that you have rear toe-in, as evidenced by the green color for that adjustment. If you had toe-out, it would be red, because toe-out is outside of OEM spec. It often is also a negative number when out.
Yeah b/c toe out chews up tires.

Been quiet as it's our offseason but season prep is starting and I need tires. News tonight came out that the Vitour P1 has been made legal. Is anyone thinking about running them? I am considering it I was going to go with the re-71rs but wondering if the P1 would be a viable option.

They have a lot more sizes available now. I would buy them before they start selling out. IIRC most stocks are low. Otherwise wait for next season after people have some experience to share.

According to GRM’s initial test, they’re fast as fuck, but they fall off from heat pretty quick.

Edit: But GRM retested recently and they didn’t fall off as fast as the first test 🤷‍♂️

Hey guys, just wanted to share my current STU (BST ) setup and see if anybody has any tips/ advice. Car is currently pretty competitive locally as I took home 1st last season. But always down to see what can be done to make the car better.

2015 R DSG
-APR STAGE 2 high torque
-APR DSG tune
-APR carbon fiber intake
-APR stock location intercooler
-Bilstein B8s (new for 2025 season)
-034 camster mounts
-VWR springs
-H&R front and rear sway bars (both on full stiff)
-Girodisc rotors front and rear
-EBC yellow stuff pads
-CTS turbo muffler delete
-CTS resonator delete
-USP catted downpipe
-18x8.5 Motegi MR140 with 255/35 V730s

Car is a more than excellent street car at the moment as I drive it as much as possible on the road. Also curious if I will see much of a difference going to a narrower tire on the 18x8.5 wheels? I've got probably half a season left on the Kumhos and then I will need to get a new set. Should I get a 245/40?
Hey, I’m curious about the fit of those 18x8.5 wheels. Any issues? Thanks.

Ive got two sets of P1s in my garage. 295/25/19 for when my 305/30/19 RE71RS wear out in 3 months, and 315/30/18 for when my new wheels arrive…

I’ve got a good amount of experience watching the P1s as Sammy Valafar developed them at our PCA LA events in SoCal over the last few years. I can vouch for them being faster than anything else out there at the moment aside from a Hoosier A7, but they‘re close. They like heat and take a run to warm up in 60-70F weather. If it’s in the 50s F or below, they take a couple of runs to warm and grip up. Once they’re warm, I’ve never seen them overheat, they just stay consistently fast. Plus, they’ve been lasting longer than the RE71RS, and the Yokes. About the same as the Nankang CRSv2. They’re fast on everything, NA, ND2 Miatas, Porsches (couple GT3 and GT4 running them), C5, C6, C7 Corvettes. I haven’t run them on my car yet, but soon.

Thanks Sneaky my concern after talking with some folks is rain. I am not really for having three sets of wheels and from what I gather the P1 do not do great in rain especially compared to the RE71RS. I am also concerned about cold because usually our first and last events are easily sub 50.

Spend your money and time elsewhere. I know we’re car nerds, it’s what we do, but I’d wager a beverage bet that there’s only a few in here who are chasing wins by tenths of seconds to where geeking out over tires are advantageous.

If your top 1-5 positions in autox events are separated by a few seconds, then it’s likely a driver issue, not your tires.

While that is 100% true 90% of this thread is nerding out on stuff that will almost certainly not change our positioning it's part of what some of us enjoy about this sport especially in winter when we don't get to race.
