Hi all just writing this down to make it searchable. Today at cold start up the car had a rough idle then I scanned on the JB4; Code 3AE8 No Description Found appeared. Once driving all ran well but I tried clearing the code and it kept reappearing.
I searched the internet and found nothing per this code but lots of loose SAI fitting threads popped up with similar symptoms related to P050A000. So I checked my SAI fitting at the Autotech Intake which I have installed and sure enough, the SAI had come loose. The metal port which the SAI couples on to at the intake had turned on its own over time (it screws in/out very easily) and the SAI was only partially attached.
I set/screwed the metal port back in and the SAI clipped on tight and flush. Cold idle is fine now. Code then cleared itself without having to clear it on the JB4. I’ll put some blue loctite on that metal port to make sure it stays put now!
