And what's needed for "Clean Air" system retrofit

Seeing as I only have single zone "climatronic" I have no real need for the sync button.

The P/N for this particular model is 17G907044L.
There is also a version with the sync button but don't know the exact partnumber for the one with SW heat combo button. One without SW heating combo butten has P/N 5NA907044AJXBT and is for Tiguan. But holding the auto button for a second, functions as sync button, like in Audi A3 8V.

The "Clean air" button is nothing more than "air care", which normally only can be activated through the clima menu.

Many people already retrofitted this clima touch panel to Golf Mk7, an aftermarket frame can be found on AliExpress.

I've got the touch panel in my car now. Works well, and have Air Care (external air quality/humidity sensor installed). I recall someone mentioned a secondary filtration system (although I don't know where that would go)... but it was a casual statement and no additional details.

@Meesters Very nice, appreciate the video. I wonder if I get the pop up for seat heat level if the climatronic menu is on screen. I've never checked.

Also I don't know if I have "Sync" on the screen either. I suppose I have the button to show me the status while a panel without the button would "need" to show it on screen.

Starts looking for panels with Clean Air Button. For me the Clean Air button would make more sense because I don't actually have dual zone.
Temperature is controlled by the driver side only so the Sync status (which I can always see) is irrelevant. Better to have a button that does something.

Appreciate the video as well. I never thought I'd actually want the touch panel. Damn it. Where did you source it from and how extensive were the coding changes?

@Kushdaiin, Well, I was looking for a for a panel with the combo butten anyway, and inspired by others on the net, so I bought the whole set of AliExpress, see link below. Coding is practically a copy of your existing coding, just make sure you disable 2nd seat row. I can help you with that if necessary.

ali touch panel

@Cuzoe , if it is not displayed, it has might have to do something with coding, if incorrect, nothing is displayed.

I'll have to check when I leave work. Seat heating works but I'm not sure I get the display.

Link doesn't work. Blocked on my work computer but then also blocked on my cell.

I have OBD11, but I'll use VCDS. I did have to code out the rear display when I got my panel. Mine is a 5NA something from a Tiguan. I believe the climate display bit checked but I'll verify.
I get the full screen that shows blue/red arrows, steering wheel heat, aircare, air direction... all of the things. Just don't remember seeing the display for seat heat pop up.

Seems like the MK8 heated wheels are available for pretty cheap on Aliexpress nowadays.

Also for the clock spring would buying a used one off eBay that includes the stalks work? I see Arteon ones come up for 5Q0953569B

Edit: Found the part number for the mk8 steering wheel buttons (that are actually buttons and not touch screens): 3G0959442G
