Recycling Used Tires

I've had 6-8 tires just sitting at home for a couple of years now..time to get rid of them.

Has anyone recycled their used tires at Sears or other locations that accept used auto tires? I don't mind having to pay a couple bucks if some place will take the tires off my hands.

Answered my own question. Americas Tires will dispose of any used tire for $2.25/tire.

Unless they are absolutely useless, put them on Freecycle. Someone will probably take them off your hands for free. Your municipality may also accept used tires, some of them take a few per year for free.

if they have any wear left on them, try calling a used tire shop. Have gotten $20 for a set that was pretty shot before.

Never even heard of this freecycle. I'll check that out, thanks.

Ah I couldn't do that to anyone. These tires are very aged - maybe 7-8 years.
