Recirculation air intake?

Does anyone know exactly where the recirculation air intake is in the MK7? I assumed it was in the passenger footwell but the three duct slots there don’t seem to have any suction when I turn recirc on. Where else might I look?

It is in the passenger floor area straight up the firewall about in the middle on the MK7. 5 so it's probably the same.

It's right on the firewall and has an inlet. Small rectangular opening. It's also where you would spray to disinfect the AC. Just get a flashlight and you'll see it.

ok I’ll take a closer look. All I see at the moment is a foam cover and some outflow ducts.
