Hey,

I bought a rearview camera kit for my 2015 GTI S, from EZT with wiring harness. I brought it to the VW dealer for install, but they're having trouble(I know, right....?). They've had my car for 3 days now and are somehow unable to figure out how to get it working. They even offered me to come pick it up. They said the camera's hooked up and coded but it's not working, and that there's a red wire that they're not sure what to do with. I'm speaking with the service advisor and not a technician so not sure if anything's getting lost in translation, but I think that red wire needs to be tapped into the fuse box for power?

They're asking for resources or a guide before they open up a case with Volkswagen. Anyone know what I should suggest to them, or what the red cable they're speaking of is for?

Low camera pinout:
Code:
T4bt/1 - permanent 12V power supply (fuse 18, box C)
T4bt/2 - permanent GND
T4bt/4 - right reverse light (BCM, connector T73a, pin 64) - this will just trigger the camera, not power it.

T2f/1 - video signal feed
T2f/2 - video signal ground shield

Coding in infotainment:
Code:
Module: 5F (Information electronics)
Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 19 → Bit: 4
New value: enable

Coding in parktronic
Code:
Module: 76 (Parking aid)
Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 02 → Bit: 4
New value: enable

Also BCM should be recoded, because by default it will power reverse lights at 89% brightness. Should be 100% so there's no interference on the camera feed.
