Rear Taillight Panel Gaps

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased a used MK7 golf GTE and I have just noticed that the panel gaps between the rear taillights on either side noticeably differ (See Photos), with the right-hand side looking off. I have also noticed that the rear bumper clip, just below the right-hand side taillight has snapped (See Photos). My immediate thought is that the two are connected? and maybe the car has had some kind of previous impact or repair work? or is the taillight gap difference a common issue? I was wondering what are my options to get both fixed, are the taillight clip and rear light panel gap easy fixes?

Thanks,
Tom

Could be someone swapped the tails and didn't pay attention when putt back the stock ones. Though those look like LEDs, so maybe not. Adjusting them should be easy, outer tail lights are generally a screw style connector you can find under the trim on either side of the hatch. A quick google should show some videos on how to remove them.
