Rear seat release handle popped out

I was moving some Furniture just before xmas, and as I slid a couch into the back of my golf, the latch at the top of the left hand seat popped out of its usual spot, and now I can't get it back in... anyone know how to fix this?



I've tried pushing it back it, but nothing is budging and wanted to check if there is a trick to fix it before I go full force on it...
when the seat back in its normal position the latch still locks, but the red flag stays up.

Just to update the thread, I managed to unclip the two tabs holding the trim piece in,
what a pain in the arse... so glad I had some old windscreen wipers around so I could use the inner spring steel to make a hook to get the tabs.

I do wish that ERWIN had a better search and more info on loom routing... but yes its a big help when I can get it working.

usually you can just stick a trim tool in the backside of those and push forward and they pop right out. super easy fix
