Hi All,

Tomorrow i am installing an is38 turbo on my GTI. I like to run e25 blend with 93 to keep the engine happy. is there any reason i should be worried about fueling capacity? everything ive seen hasnt mentioned injectors or the like, but i was aske a few times by a speed shop today if i was planning to do them.

It depends on boost and environment but e25 should be fine.

I've had up to e42 in this car on 26psi in 32* low low DA winter nights and although the HPFP was dropping out, it never went lean.

E30 and 26psi is a great combo with the is38 :)

Thats good to hear! On e25 (2.5 gallons of e85 mixed into 93) My is20 put down 328 whp and 399 tq on a eurodyne stage 2 on a dynojet. I am hoping to make 360+ and similar torque on the is38 with an e25 blend. I dont plan to up the boost from the 93 level.

Put e30 in tank. Put on ED Adjustable IF you live at a decent altitude. Slide both sliders all the way to the right and let er eat.

Daily on E25, 96/26psi though. That tune overboosts quite a bit. It is very boost heavy, we actually had to turn it down in some areas or it would just lean out pump for useless torque.

You should get about 400-420 HP on E25 and IS38. A friend of mine gets that on his with E25 and IS38 on a 5150 tune. I get 350 on 91 octane and no E on an IS38 with a custom dyno tune.

i highly recomend the fuel it ethanol sensor so you actually know your E blend real time. I've been really surprised how much volatility in ethanol my local pumps are, sometimes it is way off vs what I thought it woudl be
