Pulled Turbo, Found Problem.

In a previous discussion I spoke of a wastegate issue I was having. I got the turbo off today. Clevis is stuck like it's been welded. wastegate very sticky too. Turbo is a Rev G with about 40,000 miles. It's interesting to find an issue like this on a later revision turbo. Also, it seems like an issue that engineers and technologists solved around 1874 or so. But here we are, stuck arm in 2019. Maybe Rev L will get me more than 40,000.

New turbo almost installed. Just an update to feed future search.

Its all luck of the draw on the turbos. Im still running a 06K-145-722-G and the build date on my GTI is 07/15. Currently at 89k miles.

The super early ones clearly had some issues but these later ones have been relatively ok but always a few no matter the reversion that have issues.

No Boost. Car ran like N/A car. EPC light on all the time.
P00AF - turbo/supercharger boost control “A” module code.
