Good call on the zip tie. I will check mine tomorrow.
When I said pry it out, I didn't mean remove it from the metal bracket - just pry it enough to slide a cable tie through the gap; there's enough play in the clips to allow you to do that while keeping the clutch clipped against the bracket.
Yeah I didn’t think so either cause you’d lose tension.
Look ok?

Looks good man!

There's no way I could get a zip tie between the box and the metal because there's zero play between the two. I tried inserting a very thin, ground down screwdriver blade but there's absolutely no clearance. I was very worried that the plastic box would break away from the metal if too much pressure was applied.
Like I've said already, it's held on by two plastic push clips and there's more than enough play in them to fit some cable ties through the gap.
There's absolutely no way you can get a zip tie in the middle of the box. You can only get one in at each end.
2018 SE here. Physically impossible to route ties underneath the center, and I'm using tiniest of ties. Literally no space...I was barely able to route on each endDon't see why - no one else seems to be having this problem.
How thick are your cable ties?
If you can get one at the end where the clasp opens and closes, that should help somewhat.

Thanks for this IWMTom! Where do you guys get the service manual to look at the diagrams like that?
