Preferred KC Area Shop To Service GTIs?

My preferred VW maintenance shop (Vee Village in Crossroads) recently closed for good, as owners retired. Looking for advice on a good shop to take my GTI to. One that either specializes in VW or other foreign brands but is comfortable working on VWs. I have no specific issues now, just want thoughts on where I should go now for all maintenance/repairs. Would prefer a trusted independent shop over d alert service department.

Thanks!

I'd hop over to KCH2O or KCDUBS on facebook and ask there. Those guys are a wealth of knowledge and can get you pointed where you need to be.

I like you found it to be a surprise to find the Vee Village closed when I called last. They always did right by me for nearly 20 years. We gave German Import Specialists in NKC a go last time and I was impressed. So we'll be back for sure when things I can't fix go wrong.
I can also recommend Santa Fe Garage in Independence for all your suspension related needs. They've lowered my Passat wagon, Alltrack and installed K&W V2's on our TT. Top notch shop all the way.

My son uses Bob Hindson Racing at 29th and Holmes. Google 'em.

Bob.

I personally have no experience with Bob Hindson, but I heard they wrecked a customer's GT3 on a joyride through the city. I have family friends that went there for flash tunes, and they didn't seem too displeased with the service.

I personally go to Karl Willen of Rennsport. Karl is super knowledgeable, has a racing background, and primarily works on Porsches and track cars. I'd definitely recommend him beyond anything you can do at home.
