Okay, came to my senses, ditching the Apple Watch (trying an Oura ring instead) and I've been wearing my neglected Sinn 856 UTC. It is keeping awful time, losing over an hour a day. RGM quoted a 6-8 month backlog for service, Sinn lists one to two months, so I guess it's getting a trip back to Frankfurt. But of course, as this always goes, now I want another watch. If there were a Panerai Luminor in ti without the crown guard, basically a 512 but ti instead of steel. Of course a 512 would work fine. I'd rather have the lack of crown guard than ti.
Bruh, watch accuracy meter app. It will fix your watch in no time. 10 minutes at home will save you months in shipping to Germany. I got my Tag within 3.5 seconds per day.

Okay, help me out here, how does the app help? My watch is argon filled so I don't really want to service it myself.

Taco Bell run the other night.

Oops! Wrong car lololol
Almost bought that watch, instead got a blue dial BB41. Bad thing about it is I like it so much I dont take it off. Have you seen the new white dial GMT? It is pretty sick.

I had that same conundrum, but ended up with the GMT (obviously) lol. It probably gets the most wrist time out of all my watches.
The thing is just a tank! I don't feel like I have to baby it like I would my Speedy. It is my go-to travel watch, and spends about half the time on a rubber strap.
I have seen the white dial GMT, but not in the metal. I'm on the fence. I'm holding final judgement till I actually see one.
The one and only whit dial on my radar right now (and has been for quite some time) is an Explorer II.
Maybe one day...
My watch and car fund is being depleted by a "building a new house fund" currently.
If I stay under budget, maybe I'll reward myself with one. But seeing as how we are currently OVER budget, yeah I don't see it happening hah.

Yea the Explorer II white dial is on my radar too. I'm supposedly on the waiting list at my local AD. I saw the Tudor white dial GMT though and I was like hmm, this would leave GTI money lol. I'll probably end up dumping it all into the GTI, but its nice to be mindful of long term goals. All good though, my current BB41 gets loads of compliments and it goes with anything I wear lol.

Cruisin' through here with my GMT again :ROFLMAO:

I've posted about my date-wheel issue on this thread before. (Advances more than one date a night, or gets stuck between two date numbers)

Well now the hour hand occasionally loses an hour overnight as well. As in, the watch does not stop running, the minutes and seconds are spot on, but it's an hour earlier (usually in conjunction with the date issue).

This watch is my ride or die, but not gonna lie I'm kinda pissed about it. I'm out of warranty but I'll be sending it into a Rolex Service Center and seeing what they can do for me. I'm hoping since it's a known issue with the date they might fix it for free (I've heard a few cases of this being done outside of warranty). But even if not, I need to bite the bullet and get it corrected.

If you're not familiar, apparently Tudor uses a "hot swap" service method for the movements, which means they swap your whole movement out for a refurbished one. I'm unclear on if that's every time you do a complete overhaul, or just for repairs, or what. That's probably what I need anyways, but I'm sentimental with it and it's a bit of a bummer if the guts are changed out entirely. I also want to make sure they don't swap dial or hands, or unnecessarily polish things, or basically do any work that doesn't need to be done, aka keep it as original as possible. This will be my first time servicing / repairing a mechanical watch, so I have no idea how much control I have over that stuff.

I know it's not what the thread is about but wanted to vent!

I hated my GMT. It’s what makes me hesitant to buy a Tudor, but yet here I am looking at the ceramic and bronze Black Bays and the Pelagos. I would 100% avoid a GMT complication though. Time only is ideal, I’d accept a non magnified date.

By GMT do you specifically mean the Black Bay GMT? Or something else? If the BB GMT, what did you hate about it — the GMT complication itself, or other elements? Just curious 😁

Mine is a 2018, very early example, the year it was released. The date issue is well-known for those early models. Anecdotally (Tudor has never publicly acknowledged as far as I know), that has largely been solved with later model years and other iterations (Black Bay Pro).

Personally, I love the Flyer GMT complication. If you've ever been on a flight that changes time zones, the quick-set hour hand is the best thing ever.

My situation is a bummer, but it would not stop me from buying another Tudor.

I had a root beer Rolex 16758, I it had the older GMT complication, it wasn’t a flyer. That was part of it, service was always stupidly expensive and I just never really enjoyed the way it wore. Part of that was the Jubilee bracelet, I wore it on a strap some and greatly preferred that. But mine had the random GMT time switch, date flop and other issues. Just a watch I didn’t enjoy, but I do think I’d like to try a simpler Tudor.

Gotcha. Yeah, flyer is much more useful for travel I think. I wouldn't let that, or even my issues, deter you from a Tudor overall. They have a pretty good reputation and one of their simpler movements should be accurate and bulletproof.
