Poor MPG

It's weird, I got another GTD as due to my projected mileage, and what people were reporting they were getting out of their GTI's (circa 30-32mpg), I thought the GTD would be the way to go, and to be honest it still is with 55+mpg quite easily available as is 60mpg with careful driving.

Really impressed however with the MPG that Finglonga is getting out of his GTI. I'd be happy with that on a run.

I find MPG is very sensitive to the ambient temperature. The warmer the weather the higher the MPG

Interesting point. Websearch gives this explanation.

With warmer air its less dense so the gas molecules are spread out more.
Therefore less Oxygen goes into combustion needing less fuel to combust.
