Pole Position - GTI Family

Wanted to share my daughters Birthday party with you guys - her name is Dava, she just turned 11 and if any of you like racing, you need to get your butt to a Pole Position ( this one is Vegas )

So Dava turned 11 today and after spending Cruce's birthday (her younger brother) at Pole Position - Dava wanted to go nowhere else for her birthday party. Big Thanks go out to Ken Faught and his awesome manager Brad for attending to Dava and the kids every wish - they are tuckered out in bed, exhausted from a great night at Pole Position

Make sure you guys mark this on your "must do" list anytime you visit Vegas - its not too often when you walk into a place and you really feel good about the way you are treated as a patron - Pole Position Vegas delivers! I managed to get some photos around the track this time as well of some of the festivities ...so on with the photo pictorial, enjoy.
A view from above... the track was slightly different this time and i managed to get my all time best time - a 24.86 good for 4th best of the week ( not good considering this is only Tuesday LOL )

Dava got her night started with some shoot em up Video games - she was smiles the whole night ( cant believe she is already 11 - im starting to really feel old!

Brad let me get some photos from the back wall of the track looking up towards the front ... check out that hairpin on the right!

After some video games it was time for Cake/Ice Cream and presents

Tons of Karts constantly on chargers ensures they are always full of steam and ready to go.

Grandma Scavo sent Dava some really nice gifts and some cha-ching... that really got her attention! LOL

Lots of good vantage points for spectating and cheering on your favorite racer ... this was pretty late in the evening just before closing but it was pretty busy earlier for just 2 days before Christmas!

All 3 kids went out for a grudge match - Winner gets to open an extra present Christmas Eve

And of course the Birthday girl won - beating her 15 yr old sister! Go Dava!

Cruce's favorite video game was the boxing game, I dont think I have ever seen him this excited about a game before - pure adrenaline!

Kaylin on the other hand was enjoying a peaceful game of horse racing.

The Lobby of Pole Position says "We mean business - get your race face on!"

What kind of camera did you use? Are those photo's touched up at all? (sorry, dont mean to hijack, but I've been interested in getting into photog lately).

All were taken with a Nikon D2X - some are HDR, some high iso and some i used a flash! resized in pshop and slight levels adjustment - done!

Nice pics, looks like she had a great time, i love go carting, get all that stuff out you wish you could do on the road, that place looks similar to the place i wrote off a go cart and took all the skin off my right hand :lol:

I was in that track when i was in Vegas March this year. It rocked but i can off with a buzzing sore head on neck. Can't wait to go back to Vegas this February coming and will be straight back to this track for a fun day out.

the quality of those pictures are great.

we had our company christmas party at a go karting place last night, it was crazy fun. imagine a bunch of grown men go karting at 30mph trying to crash into each other, I got hit and halfway ejected from the kart.

That place looks like an awesome time, if I am ever in Vegas I want to spend an afternoon there :thumbsup:

The best part about Go Karting is cheating though seriously :lol: My work friends always hit up a local outdoor track a few times in the summer and it always resorts to a giant cheating competition. Driving on the grass, PIT manoevers, anything they let you get on the track with is legal ammunition... :biggrin: Go Karting is always a great time.

Thats awesome man. My two boys would love a place like that. We only have a small track around here thats only open in the summer. But Im not sure who would enjoy it more me or them. :biggrin: Oh yeah and someone needs to quit being cheap and give that girl more than five bucks..J/K. Glad she had a good birthday. :thumbsup:
