Part number breakdown inquiry

I hit post before I finished that. My thought was that since none of the units are really compatible with my car I would save the $500-ish and buy the -D suffix'ed part number. I don't know why it's cheaper than the rest but this will be the second MIB 2.5 I've bought so savings are welcomed.

Curious as to why you're buying new? Is the used parts market not all that big over there?

Here, you can pick up a used main unit for like £400 ($550 ish)!

The only car that came with MIB 2.5 over here was the 2019-20 e-Golf Premium, as far as I know... So MIB 2.5s (with NAR Sat Radio) are rare on the used market.

Yup, a place with no options... I get that Discover Pro (MIB II or 2.5) wouldn't be standard. But we couldn't option it even if we wanted. I seem to remember someone saying MIB II Disco Pro was part of a "premium tech package" offered in Canada at some point, but nothing like that in america.
