Parking Lights

Hello,

I have a VW Golf 1.6 TDi and my car dealer told me that the car has parking lights, when you switch off the engine and lock the car the front and rear lights left or right can stay on. Can someone enlighten me on how I can enable them?

Sorry if this has already been answered or posted it in the wrong forum but I can't find an answer.

Yeap! Using the indicator stalk, you can choose which side the lights stay on. To turn them on, with the ignition off, move the stalk up or down, as if you're indicating, and the lights on that side turn on.

Cool.. I tried it out.. Another thing if you use the parking lights would they be able to drain the battery out?
