Ridgecrest is still a few hours from Palmdale, which Ridgecrest is literally in the middle of nowhere, but a Navy Base with a supporting city.

Better off going south on Rte 14 and meet up with people in LA county, it's closer than Ridgecrest,Look for the Last Sunday driving meets

Ridgecrest is 1.5 hours from Palmdale. I go there to do my ammo transfers.
