P012100 EPC/Limp mode

P012100 - Throttle/Pedal Pos. Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance

I get this error code every few days along with the EPC, CEL and lack of power. Occasionally even a very unstable idle. I have an OBD11 which I plug in quick and clear which solves it for the time being, but looking to fix.

Is it common?
What are the typical culprits?

Did you inspect pedal area and connector?

I did not. Never came to my mind that it is actually at the pedal level. I was looking more at the throttle body. Is there anything typical around the pedal that fails? Will inspect and report.

No, you are right this is a throttle body issue. I would start by pulling connectors off it and the ones to the lower right of it and inspecting those.
