So, how's that mk8 support coming? I heard it'll be available in two weeks.

Just bit the bullet and purchased a macchina a0. Talked to a few tuners who use Simos. So my thing is to get a good understanding is to open a facebook account and join the group?

If you want fb style discussion sure. I think I'm authorized to share a google doc if you'd rather just read the guide

They shut the chat down in the face-boo group. That was my favorite part. Maybe the mods are cleaning it up.

I have a couple of questions. Sorry for asking here as I don't f**k with the book. Of course, I'm not here to self-tune or anything like that. I tune coyotes for a living, and that's enough for me. I'm testing the dongle on a buddy’s car. His car is tuned by IE. Do you need to flash the car back to stock to allow the ability to read more parameters and change from metric to imperial readings, or can you flash on top of IE tune? Since his car VIN is on IE servers, I’m not really worried about a stock tune back up, or is it best to still do a backup?

Any knowledge spread is appreciated.

I'm tuned by UM, so I didn't want to test anything on my own car because I have to get it flashed at the shop.

You can log Mode22 on any tune. As for the PID list metric vs imperial, check down in the options it might be in there to switch. If not, converting is rather easy with math. ;)

You can also export the CSV and change the math for it to calculate how you want. I'm sure I have a metric and imperial log list lying around here somewhere if there is a particular PID you want to convert.

Just so I don't have to catch up on 38 pages of old info, is there a good link to getting started with whatever the current version of this is?
