Diggs tuned with SIMOS tool? Whatever man.

I just want open source tuning for mk8 and a 1000hp Diggs tune.

Guys, thanks for all your hard work on this. Took the plunge last week to unlock, tune, and flash my GTI. It's incredible to have this level of control and support over the ECU from the community. So so glad I decided to take the time to learn instead of going with an OTS tune, even more so that I managed to not blow it up ha. I look forward to improving my tune and helping out with the knowledge base with this effort.

Best, Alex

Got any of that SIMOS crack for mk8?

The EQT is undriveable on track. Throttle isn't linear and all the torque hits like a hammer at 4000 rpms, and just lights the tires up.

Anyone running tunerpro in a VM on a M-series Macbook? or should I buy a cheap windows 7 laptop..
I used Crossover windows emulator in my M2. It worked… fine. Not perfect and had weird issues when resizing windows, but got the job done. A true Windows experience like Parallels would probably work better.

eBay has lots of barely-OOW Dell Latitudes for cheap, most of which can easily be coaxed into running Windows 11. OR, you can use ECUleg and tune from an Android device, which would enable you to use the same device for flashing that you're already using for tuning. With that said, I've gotta shill MegaLogViewer for viewing lots of data at once, Datazap is great for sharing but MLV makes it easier to view large swaths of things at the same time.

ECUleg is a great option because you need and Android device to flash and log via Simos Tools anyways. Get an Android tablet and let that be your dedicated tuning thingy.

also beneficial because it's much easier to migrate Android devices IMO than it is to get new Windows devices, particularly tablets that don't suck. I've seen a large number of USB-C ports wear out on laptops where they're used for docking stations/charging, and it's a bummer because generally speaking that means replacing the motherboard. On an Android phone you're able to do just about everything wirelessly, so it's a much more stout device, and if using OneDrive/Google Drive/Dropbox/etc to back up files and a Google account to back up your local phone settings/profile stuff, it's not hard to migrate hardware without too much issue.

Computer-side, I've been using Macrium Reflect to do drive image backups to mitigate any major issues BUT there are some caveats that make it less than perfect in some instances, and in general I really wish a cheap Windows tablet with keyboard cover a la Surface Go or similar were more readily available.
