oil change thoughts

with the cost of everything going up , i thought i'd try somethign different this year and sorta wanted a general thoughts out there in the wider vw world.
We all know its 15k miles or every year for the oil change, but i do under 4k a year. So i am thinking of stretching it to 18months. As its fully synthetic i am going on it being more forgiving.

Depends what oil/service schedule your car is on...may already be on the "flexible" long service interval......& doesn't matter if it fully synthetic as the "w" rating is different usually between the fixed & flexible service oils...engine dependent..

I always try to change my oil every 6,000 miles (diesels) no matter when. Cheaper than leaving it longer! Also changing filters etc get you to notice anything untoward. But now for the first time in my life I'm using dealer services. (now nearly 60 and can't be bothered crawling about and all that, plus this MK7 is nicer/newer too).

15k for oil ? You are slowly killing that engine. 6k and no more or 12 months.
