Still pretty conservative here, just need to drive with some more confidence to get into 2:3Xs

Little better this time out, still didn't quite get to the 2:19 that I was hoping for. Probably still squeeze another day or two out of these 235/45 RS4s before I mount up some 255/40 Kumho V730s.

New PB. Lots of traffic, fuel starvation on straight towards end of sessions due to the long high G turn at the bowl. Track/curbs still somewhat wet.

Nice clean laps! Lots of fun to watch you drive! I think I get more excited watching HPDE videos than I do watching F1. I just love the anticipation of waiting for the point-by to pop out of the lead car's windows, then the quick jump to pass! Ha!

Gopro failed save any video, so nothing to watch :( First time at TNiA, was a cool way to skip work for a bit.

Suspension: stock aside from 034 RSB

The tires are probably end of life and this was my first time on track for the season so I was pretty pleased with my new PB. Still trying to sort the smoking from the PCV on downshifts or heavy braking. The BMS catch can has done nothing to solve the issue and honestly, doesn't seems like a particularly effective design. I know some have had luck with the revision PCV plates and that's next up (one sitting on the shelf waiting for install). After that, it's biting the bullet and picking up a Racingline system. Also still having an issue with popping an EPC/limp mode on turn 6 due to oil moving away from the pickup briefly. Only happens when I REALLY push G's through that turn so a baffled pan is probably necessary if I want to improve my times further. Quick video of my new PB lap time below.

Fuel: 93
Notes on setup:
Power train: DO88 intercooler, 034 lower motor mount inserts. Otherwise bone stock.
Suspension: Stock springs w/ Koni Special Active shocks/struts. 034 camber plates, RS3 "solid" LCA bushings + Powerflex offset LCA bushings. H&R 26mm sway bars front and rear, front run on "stiff" setting. Estimated -2.7 to -2.8 deg up front, -1.9 rear. (Haven't had on an alignment rack since LCA bushing install)
Tires: 245/40R17 Kumho V730 on 17x9 Apex SM10s
Brakes: Stock PP brakes. Ferodo DS3.12 front pads, DS1.11 rear pads (have to custom order from Essex for the GTI mechanical e-brake rear calipers), Endless RBF650 brake fluid.

Video with full data overlay thanks to Simos Tools. If you read the description on Youtube you'll see there's no sound because I'm an idiot and accidentally disabled it on my Catalyst. :cautious: Regardless you have all the data to look at and help make vroom vroom noises. Realistically you're not missing much because it's the stock DP and exhaust... would be nothing but wind noise for the most part.

Going to install RS3 bushings since OEM ones are shot and will definitely need an oil cooler/PCV fix.
Would also like to get a Catalyst eventually but so damn expensive...

Another “unofficial entry” since I’m a mk6, not mk7 😄 But I appreciate this thread so I figured I’ll add some data points.

First time out on the new RE-71RS and they were great. A couple laps to come up to temp but after that they were very sticky and I saw very little decrease in grip over the course of each session. The Racingline PCV/Catch can system did it's job and eliminated my smoking issue.

Probably final weekend of the year since my RS4s are close to being cooked and I'll need to rebuild the calipers, lots of really fast cars in intermediate....those GT3 Cups would just show up out of nowhere
