Its a "programming position" actually im glorified tech support who hasnt done anything since my first week of employment literally. Im leaving for an actual development position. no references would be needed from my current emoployer. my future manager actually didnt care about my current position and wanted to know everything about my internship.
I actually was asked when i could start and i told them oct 1 so that i could give a two weeks. But they wanted me in earlier. unfortunately the two weeks was one reason and h2o was another rwason for oct 1.
Honestly this position im going to is a position that will be fueling ever future position i ever get.

Just be honest and professional with your manager, the worst you can do is get fired and then you are on vacation for a few weeks. Tell them the need for early resignation and let them know why you are leaving without defaming your current organization (i.e. I literally do nothing all day). Just be concise and to the point, leaving as little room for rebuttal or argument as possible. Thank them for their time and allowing you to be employed there but express your belief in forwarding your career and this opportunity seems like the right decision.

Thats probably my best bet on doing this. It deffinatly a life lesson. The only thing i learned here honestly is all because a company is fortune 200 doesnt mean its going to be a good place to work.
i was willi.g to take a paycut for the new position. However it went the other way, significantly.

Yeah, one of the worst things you can be is bored at work. You spend a majority of your life there and when you are idle for 6-8 hours a day it becomes tedious very quickly. All that matters is that you gain experience and handle new situations with more tact and grace than previous situations. Watching yourself grow and grasp an understanding of how the world works is one of the most rewarding feelings, IMO.

I changed jobs to get a day job and for stability, but this newer job is horribly boring. Not what I am used to.

Trade offs I know but it making me fat and miserable.

That's why I always lift in the mornings. That way I know I have the first 2 hours of the day to myself before I become embroiled in the rat race. One thing I promised myself is that I would not sacrifice my health when I started working.

I just do not want to get up at 430 am. Work out, home shower and at work by 7.

I used to work as a lead man in a steel mill doing electrical work, plc's motor controls.....
Now I'm doing more technical laptop based work and have sooo many more red tape issues. It's just not my line of work.

Nope. Thats the US Steel Fairfield works.
I worked at CMC steel in Downtown Birmingham. It was a scrap recycling billet/structural steel producer.

Loved the work....hated the hours. I worked a swing shift. 2 days on....2 off. 3 nights...2 days off...2 days...3 days off...2 nights...2 days off 3 days....

AND repeat.

My dad used to work for a steel company, then one day they said "hey were shutting down and moving the company to china"....
His co-workers and my dad are in trial for some sort of compensation. They just shut down the company without warning.

Actually he still works at a steel company now, his company makes submarine parts.
