I'm actually more excited about the air quality sensor and updated touch-sensing module for my steering wheel.

Just got mine, It's definitely real, guess I'm the only one VK sent the charger too .
Also, It fits perfectly in the place of the old charger.

Anyways, plugged it in to test but i always get the same message, tried 3 different phones and nothing has worked yet, any advice? maybe there's some coding involved in this upgrade?

Did the devices have cases on them?

For the Mk8, it looks like there was a hardware issue with certain revisions of the hardware: https://www.golfmk8.com/forums/inde...reless-charging-behaviour.387351/post-7845859. Hopefully that is not the situation here.

Nope, no cases and I also tried to align them in different ways on the charger, after trying different phones it comes down to 2 potential causes, It's either my car or the charger, All I can do is wait for the rest of you to get the charger.

I'snt this device brand new? latest revision? should have the latest hardware and software on it.

The charger should be new. I am only bringing the revision/hardware up because the error message is similar to the one mentioned with the newer Golfs. It is strange that there was suddenly no stock of these chargers in China left after a few were ordered...

The charger that the Chinese seller sent me was likely manufactured between 2017-2019 despite being claimed as new, but there is no indication that is relevant to the Chinese market charger you got.

I guess the new question will be whether or not these work plug and play. Mine has left China but not made it to customs on this side yet.

Still not sure if it's plug and play but it definitely works!

Tried it now with my Airpods and it worked just fine, got the regular " cellphone charging in the storage compartment " message and suddenly I felt cold air on my hand, It appears that the charger sucks in air from the bottom and is cooling the phone that way.

Only way to confirm what's the problem is for you guys to try it on your car.

I cancelled mine for the same reason, I was sent a picture of the one I already have lol
