On MK8 schematics (MY 2022), MQB37 still has CAN Extended, but is only used for Matrix headlights/ I.Q Lights. Pins 22 and 23 of 32Pin connector in headlight module J745 from light modules in headlights. Gateway doesn't have CAN Extended

The 2Q0 blind spot radars are still used with 5WA... From memory here aren't those on can bus extended?

Maybe on MK7 is correct, but in MK8 J770 and J769 (blind spot radars) are connected to CAN Driver assistant systems.

From what is see in SSP680, "normal" CAN units are "backward" compatible with CAN-FD. but it doesn't work in opposite way (CAN-FD control units are not compatible with regular CAN)

Soo with this knowledge, 5WA driver assistant camera is not retrofit-able to MK7 because of CAN-FD it uses (I know is an off-topic)

Yup, named CAN extended on schematics. MK7 had "private/local/sub networks" too. For example, between MIB and screen for example, between Line assist camera and ACC radar and between side assist modules (one is slave, with one CAN connected to the master, and other, master have connection with slave and with gateway)

Hello,

I came across this video. This way the air flows nicely under the phone, and the phone has just this little extra distance to the charger pad to work properly. I think the 5CG, but also the 3P0 pad are designed to work this way. How nice would it be if somehow we could get a custom made rubber inlay to fit our MK7 cubby. Anyone any Idea? Maybe some Chinese webshop ?

Furthermore I ordered the flat inlay without the lowered part, I have troubles getting my phone over the threshold by when taking the phone out, the Fold 4 is quite thick (so are my fingers ) so when pulling out the phone, I'm unable to easily lift the phone a bit. Hopefully this inlay works as well with my current mod.

@Meesters, man, you're genius! I read new posts yesterday and today I gave a try to that cardboard trick with 611A charger. It works great, 100% success! Before, I had to position my phone (iPhone 15 Pro) few times to get it charging. Thank you!

Thanks for your compliment, but I wouldn't consider myself a genius . I just had a little luck I guess (as a lot of things comes to existing), and I drew the right conclusion from that.

I have an second hand, and couldn't get it hooked up to gateway, do you have more success?
