Spoiler: Private matters
Also interested, not that I would ever do that, but I'm getting more and more impressed with your all-round skills.
Spoiler: Private matters
I don't see any reason that would be the case. The car doesn't know if you're using a wireless adapter. The wireless adapters are simulating a connected phone.I have a question, because I watched the videos from MR-FIX. Is it correct that ACP and AA only will work with a wireless adapter when done this retrofit?
Well, I saw a video from him where he changed the USB port in the chubby, in order to make ACP working, without he couldn't. In the video where he installed the USB hub he went back to his original USB port and used a wireless adapter to use ACP. So it's just an assumption, but no confirmation.I don't see any reason that would be the case. The car doesn't know if you're using a wireless adapter. Gotcha, interesting. Long story... I retrofitted MIB 2 years ago, then MIB 2 with navigation. And for years no problems with AppConnect. I did test CarPlay but I've had Google phones forever so I used AndroidAuto daily. I then retrofitted MIB 2.5 around the time the wireless dongles were hitting the market. With my MIB 2.5 I could no longer get wired AndroidAuto working reliably (same phone, same cable, same software version). Sometimes it would work for 15 minutes, then disconnect and reconnect, work for another 5 minutes, repeat. The wireless dongle (Android Auto) would not work for more than 3-4 minutes, could not make it through a single song without disconnecting/reconnecting.Well, I saw a video from him where he changed the USB port in the chubby, in order to make ACP working, without he couldn't. Today I ordered all parts, including all cables, cut off red connector and one USB port, € 45,- Sadly € 20,- for shipping NL to BE.I know that two of the USB ports will be capable of Android Auto/CarPlay. You can have two AppConnect devices connected/active at the same time, and switch between them.
I'm not positive about the third port for AppConnect, though it will work for charging (obviously) and data.
I promise the good stuff is coming, hub and cables... Hub was ordered on eBay, red power connector is from AliExpress (you only need pin 1, 2, and 4)
The small USB port replaces your existing USB port (shorter body) but will clip in just the same. Your existing port will NOT work properly with the hub.

Port 1 is purple, Port 2 is brown, Port 3 is black. The green is the connection to the MIB.
You have choice of USB Port part numbers...
5Q0 035 726 replaces your existing (I guess you don't really have a choice for this)
510 035 726 is USB port without a cover (and can be ordered from a US dealer, maybe installed in the Atlas)
6C0 035 726 B is USB port with a door (does not show valid from US dealers, but can be sourced elsewhere)
I ordered the LVDI cables with the correct colors./ends in the lengths I wanted for my install locations.
But you can get generic cables, or all cables with the same colors, and trim the alignment tabs as needed to make them work.
Custom cables are cheap enough that I may end up ordering different lengths (or ends, 90 degree specifically) once install time comes.

i may be having the same issue but with CarPlay, wow. where did you get your replacement USB cable from? since I swapped to MIB2.5 i’ve had a similar-ish problem, CarPlay will work some days, then other days it won’t start no matter what. it also used to not want to charge my phone, on and off, until I replaced the USB port and that seems to have fixed that problem. but i’m still getting a “Interface for external media - no communication” fault code sometimes.Gotcha, interesting. Through this whole time CarPlay worked perfectly (wired at least, I didn't have a wireless CarPlay dongle to try at the time).
I tried all kinds of things, replaced the USB port, bought new phone cables, tried phones from other manufacturers, tried my older phones. At one point in troubleshooting I even put my MIB 2 back into the car. Everything worked. MIB 2.5 back in AndroidAuto was unreliable. The problem ended up being the cable from my MIB to the USB port. I replaced it and not a single problem since... wired and wireless AndroidAuto and CarPlay work every time. Weird part is the same cable worked perfectly with everything until I went to MIB 2.5.
You cannot use your existing USB port along with the hub. Well, you can but do not expect either to work reliably. You need "dumb" USB ports so the hub manages everything. The best way to think of it would be that the existing USB is a "hub" with only one port. And the MIB doesn't support multiple hubs.Today I ordered all parts, including all cables, cut off red connector and one USB port, € 45,- Sadly € 20,- for shipping NL to BE.
I already had one good USB port in the cubby, so normally I guess everything will be there.
Thanks for sharing!

Though it pains me to say it I bought it from EuroZone Tuning. I'm sure with some time I could look up the OEM part numbers but ordering harnesses is annoying. Of course if I was doing it now I would probably just order an lvds cable and then 10 the other side of the MIB myself. But it was $50 so, eh.i may be having the same issue but with CarPlay, wow. where did you get your replacement USB cable from? since I swapped to MIB2.5 i’ve had a similar-ish problem, CarPlay will work some days, then other days it won’t start no matter what. it also used to not want to charge my phone, on and off, until I replaced the USB port and that seems to have fixed that problem. but i’m still getting a “Interface for external media - no communication” fault code sometimes.
not to mention the Bluetooth audio skipping/stuttering problem. the MIB2.5 is great but it’s definitely been buggier than the old MIB2 Delphi.
Thanks @Cuzoe, but I already understood that from your post, and I understand you might think I didn't based on my post. What I actually meant is, the cubby with wireless charger came with a "dumb" usb connector, and I ordered second one. Yeah it was only one I found with some wiring still attached, it is also here hard to find, but I was lucky.@Meesters Gotcha, haha. One thing that's interesting that I've noticed here in the states, where if we're being honest people want way too much for removed and used car parts... Is that the wreckers are rarely selling anything with connectors/wires (chopped/cut off course) still attached.
For anyone a little handy electrically it was always nice to buy some random module and get connector(s) with some short bit of wire on it. You could splice the wire or buy the pins and rebuild the harness.
These days it's hard (here) to find anything with a connector. But if you look at the seller's other items you might see the connector selling for half the price of the used module . Of course if you're resourceful or waste enough time wasting time doing retrofits it's not a big deal to find/source connectors really cheap, but it's annoying.
maybe you missed my edit, but I'm very interested.May I ask what wireless dongle you have? Mine works pretty well, but sometimes it fails to connect, maybe yours works 100%?
honestly for the time and trouble of finding the harness and/or terminating my own i think $50 isn’t too bad at all. just have another question - did you remove the old cable? or did you run the new one alongside the new one? i remember running wires to the MIB for the wireless charger and that wasn’t super funThough it pains me to say it I bought it from EuroZone Tuning.
