I bought a 2015 GTI SE here in the U.S. pretty recently. I REGRET not getting the lighting package. Does anyone know if it's possible to swap out the halogen assembly, bulbs, etc with a genuine OEM LED/HID headlight? If so, can you please provide links or suggest where I could buy a set? I have an installer here that can do it if I am able to track down the parts.

This is how I responded to the last person who asked about this. Search would of likely found this.

Yes, as already said it will be around $3K. This seller has all the OEM bits and pieces: headlights, control unit, etc. Good reference as it give you the part number required. Around $2,500 shipped. http://www.carsystems.pl/vw-golf-gti...754,id695.html

The lighting package is a screaming deal and must have at $995. It is unfortunate that HID does not come standard and that so few dealers order them in that way. I too found my self looking into this as I did not want to wait 3 months for my dealer to order in a car with lighting package and lose my bargaining ability as the dealer wants to sell cars on the lot. I went with Ed's lights. I am quite happy with them, but OEM is OEM, no auto leveling, etc. http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showth...?t=4862&page=5 I did go with different ballast and bulbs. Nothing wrong with what Ed provided, but wanted to get something closer to OEM Denso quality.

Agree with George. The LP is a great deal and worth every cent. I was not able to negotiate a better deal because I was hell bent on having a GTI with the LP and there was only 1 in a 300 mile radius at the time I purchased mine.
Unsure of I would pay $3k though for an install though. Maybe wait until the MKVII comes with some different packages and newer options in a year or 2 and then just do a trade in?

Or they will do what they did with the mk6 and take the lighting package away from the lower trims. Buying a non LP car is a mistake.
