After diving in under the hood, I've suddenly started to care about how dirty it is.
Been doing some research on proper ways to clean the engine bay, seems like a spray bottle degreaser/simple green with a wipe-down and low pressure wash is normal. Just bag the alternator and battery.

Also didn't realize this was a thing, might be a good choice for the all black theme and to hide more of the manifold.

You have variety of EA888g3 engine covers to choose. One you mentioned (06K198925CL), non-branded version (06K103925DF), manifold cover only with existing one (06K103925AA) or "upscale cover" from S3 8V 06K103925E, regular A3 8V with EA888 3b 06K103925BD or Porsche macan 2.0 engine cover (some minor trimming required) 95B103925H/95B103925N

To any of this covers, you will require 2 more studs to mount it (06E103164)

^^Make sure you get the extra two mounting studs if you go with one of those covers. I ran my Porsche cover with only two rather than all four and the vibrations were being detected as knock and pulling timing lmao
