Weird, no modifcation to tails directly but have front fog enabled all time and comfort blink set at 4 or 5. I guess I'll just try the manual way.

Edvardasast: I guess that you are the guy that calls himself/herself "Admin" on the OBD forum - hello, its good to meet you!!

I've been looking at your OBQ11 Apps with great interest and awe for some time now. I think that the concept of one-click tweaks is a great niche product that well suits the emerging new market for those that want a quick no-fuss way to change their vehicle's functions. (i.e. without the hassle of laboriously changing and checking each adaptation channel or control module code)

So I reckon that it's a great product - but I've always been curious as to what assumptions OBD11 makes about the car that the dongle owner has when applying these Apps.

Your response above where you list the default Leutche-set channels for the UrbanJoke App has provided a fascinating insight this question. Thankyou for posting the settings that OBD11 has assumed as being default for the UrbanJoke tweak.

However, your assumed default setting raises a number of additional question (in my mind) that I hope that you can clarify. For the sake of simplicity, I have taken just one Leuchte-set from your list above as an example of my confusion - the Rear left Brake light (Leuchte20BR LA71)

In the table below, I have listed your assumed default values and alongside this, I have put examples of other default values from a number of mk7 from around the world. Finally at the end of the table, I have included the changes that are made by implementing the UrbanJoke tweak

I've identified on the table, the functions of each of the adaptation channels groups (being the lamp set-up channels and the 4 x banks of Leuchte sub-sets)

What's interesting (to me at least) is that your App must cater for both incandescent and LED style fittings). Even more intriguing is the fact that you have assumed that the default lamp type is incandescent - whereas the UrbanJoke tweak will apply an LED style setting to this lamp (i.e. see the Lasttyp adaptation channel settings). I'm not sure if you are familiar with how changing the Lasttyp channel affects the lamp, but here is a screen-shot of the output from a BCM pin with this channel set for an LED Lamp

The same channel set for an incandescent Lamp will have an entirely different wave shape (the period of the square wave becomes 10 millisec and the dimming values are different). I guess that incandescent lamps are better able to tolerate the wrong Lasttyp setting, but it's much better if this channel was tailored specifically to the actual lamp that is installed in the fitting (IMO).

The other curious part of the App is what it assumes for the two error monitoring adaption channels (i.e. Lampendefektbitposition & -Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC). As the table demonstrates, whilst the majority of the car types do have the same settings for these channels, it's not universal for all mk7 models. I don't know what happens if the settings for these two channels are inappropriately changed, but I do know that for any one vehicle, a set of values appears only once in each BCM - so duplication of settings aren't tolerated by the BCM,

Anyhow, thanks again for posting your assumed default values - fascinating!! And keep-up the good work!!

Key battery was dead, tried my spare key and good to go. Weird though.....

New update and yet more new "Apps" added, typically one I did last week with the DRL's flashing opposite to the indicators.

Adaptations done so far.......

Headlight washer frequescy increased to 15 from 5

Foglights turn on with "Main beam"

Foglights and DRL as CH/L lights

Disable start/stop

Rain closing

Kencha/Pace car Indicators

Front DRLs flash in opposite phase to indicators

Fan speed in "Auto" AC

Fuel refuel amount

Puddle lights on as mirrors unfold

Comfort indicators increased from 3 to 4 blinks

Scandinavian Mod (rear lights and full brightness frnt DRL's)

DLR control on menu

Driving School mode

Can't praise this gadget enough!

Can someone elaborate on what this means I was looking at it today trying to get what it actually does.

toni - it means that both lamps blink: the turn indicator and the DRL on the side of the car that the turn indictor blinks both oscillate. But they blink opposite to one another: when the turn indicator is on, the DRL if off and vice-a-versa

Like this video that Sigi_Dr posted in another thread and I used the adaptations in the comments before the update on OBDelevens so saved 10 credits lol.

Adaptation to do it if a pro user and want to save credits.....
