NOVA people, Rapidpass test

Has anyone ever successfully used rapidpass for their emissions test???? I’ve gone through like 10 times the past few weeks and nothing… site says they don’t have a good reading for my car.

Sure, the one on the 495 onramp from tyson's has read fine.

i ended up going to a shop and getting it done, was running out of time.

Last year I was curious to see if RapidPass would work and did a few passes by getting on and off 495 at Rt.50. I wasn't optimistic but I checked my DMV account a few days later and it had logged my runs. It was kinda neat but in my case, not much more convenient since none of the testing locations are on my regular routes. Also, I think you can only do it once before having to take the car to a shop anyway.

Cool. I drove through one of those near Tysons, and had no idea what it was for. I thought they were just sampling random vehicles.

But, then again, I live in WV, a one-plate state with no emissions testing.

Done it for both my car and my wifes for the past few years. Never had issues. I'd be curious what changes if I ran a catted downpipe.
