My research tells me my mk7 gti would have had a dq250

yeah the GTI dsg box codes tend to vary my year, his is 20J which is commonly 16 and 17. 15 is usually 41T. 18 I'm not 100% sure, so yeah I would double check.

Also, according to the more info posted above, it's still installed to the ECU. Not sure if that's current or if that info was pulled before completely uninstalled. Not trying to insult anyone's intelligence or anything-- when I bought mine used, the guy accidently only uninstalled it from the TCU before sending out to me. Easiest way to tell is there will only be like 3 icons on the main menu, if completely uninstalled.

Hmm, I'm not offended, if I failed the uninstall I'd like to know, how exactly do I see this? Unfortunately, I no longer have the car.

You pulled that from AP manager, if you didn't connect AP post uninstall the. I guess it would have no way of knowing.

Power up the AP with USB cable, you can tell from the main screen icons. Should only see install, diagnostic and maybe 1 other. If you dig into the settings it will say too.

Well, lesson learned the hard way, it seems I only uninstalled the TCU (DSG) and not the ECU. So this thread is now at an end. I talked to Cobb and they want $507.50 to "re-license" the AP. I should have payed mor attention to the uninstall videos, doh!
