Noisy tyres - GTI

Ready to race!
As the title suggests, the Bridgestone Potenza's S001 fitted on my GTI are very noisy and of course hard (sidewall?)

In Dubai we have painted lines on the road when approaching speed bumps (example) which is extremely noisy and bouncy as well. We own 6 other cars that i've driven and none of them have this problem, except the ML350 Benz but even that isn't too much.

I am looking to replace the stock potenzas as even my previous MK6 GTI had bridgestone potenzas as standard which I hated.

I've seen other GTI's around which have the Dunlop Sport maxx installed on them but after browsing the forum, these seem rather hated.

Any opinions on what tyres are quieter, not as jumpy or noisy when driving over imperfections and that still handle well?

Thanks in advance :)

The Dunlops I have on my PP are great. I cannot understand why other forum-members hate them. And I've gone pretty far in tyre changes (not in this car though). I understood that it's down to the kind of roads and climate conditions. The only downside of the Dunlops (225/45 17 91W in mine) is that they ware off quicker than others (just changed front to rear at 15.000km). I wouldn't recommend Bridgestones, I encountered the same problem in my previous (Peugeot 207 RC) and my brother too in his mk6 GTI. I would recommend Michelins. Pilot Super Sport is the way (if they are available over there) and if you don't mind about ware. The reviews are epic. The Goodyear eagle F1 A2 get good reviews as well. The lightest of them all is the Dunlops though! 1kg down in each corner!

I had Michelin pilot sport 3's on my r32 was getting about 20k out of them, good blend of performance and life.

I intend to replace the bridgestones on my gti with them when the time comes. I'm not sold on the bridgestones I have to be honest.

Thanks guys, appreciate the help! :)

Will have a look around to see if either of those are available. I just rotated my tyres (front to back and vice versa) at 15,000kms. Pretty sure I can get 15K more as the rear tyres had barely any wear on them. So will probably change after the next service.

If i'm not mistaken the michellins will be a lot more expensive yes? The potenzas are fairly cheap (AED 800 a tyre = £ 130) , cheaper than the potenzas on my mk6 I mean.
