No sound via streaming bluetooth or Apple CarPlay

Posting here too since there's more traffic, this is on my 2019 Golf R.

Was working fine until halfway home last night, then no sound at all thru the speakers with either streaming bluetooth or Apple Car Play. Sirius/XM and the FM radio work fine, so its definitely phone related. I've tried disconnecting the bluetooth and reconnecting, re-pairing to the head unit, turning the head unit on and off, key cycling the car and so far nothing works.

Anyone know how to fix this short a visit to the dealer?

I did a hard reset on the phone and that fixed it, thanks!

KNOWS it‘s phone related, doesn’t try restarting phone first.

I tried all the other phone stuff first. Sorry for having a brain fart, I'm *sure* you never, ever have one.
