"I was sold..." Makes it kinda sound like you purchased an additional warranty while you sat down to sign the paperwork. Those things are hit or miss.

Either way, it's been said: the CPO warranty that any CPO VW comes with by default should indeed cover whatever failure you've experienced.

the Volkswagen dealership sold me a CERTIFIED pre owned golf. Poor choice of word on my part.

The dealer is going to cover it when they found out the difference between "power train" and "certified pre owned" warranties.

BASICALLY THE LESSON HERE IS: Never buy from Drivers Village in Cicero NY. Power Train warranty may or may not cover thermostat ask your dealer, and CPO warranty covers it at the $50 dollar deductible.
