I feel bad for you FWD guys who have DSG. Slushbox Auto and 5-Speed are clearly more performance oriented.

I don't think I have actually seen a GTD, eGOLF, or GTE irl lol
I think the only one available in the US is the eGOLF. But even then, I've seen enough to still count on one hand.

GTI values drop like rocks. Get a cpo GTI thats already depreciated and take advantage of the 0% for 60 months from vw.

it's a tough pill for R-owners to swallow but the GTI is lighter and more nimble/tossable

while we're at it, the main difference between 6spd and DSG is that one requires skill and the other can be driven by a 6 year old

I own both. The TSI is surprisingly capable but if you have the money, the GTI delivers more smiles. As others have said, test drive both.
