New to me 2021 GTI - Do I need TPMS for winter wheels/tires?

Hi Crew - just acquired a 2021 GTI Autobahn and loving it.

Going to put winter wheels/tires on and wondering if I need to add TPMS?

I don't want any annoying warning lights on my dash or Infotainment screen all winter..

Any help would be appreciated.

No. These cars use the ABS sensor, there are no TPMS sensors in the wheels.

No TPMS sensors. Computer does it based on wheel revolutions being all equal.

Or pay for new ones when the batteries wear out. I needed to replace them on my old MK5.

there is a setting on the radio/entertainment under car. You want to make sure the pressures are correct then you hit "set". It is better to do this before a ride to give the car time to learn
