Are the Pretorias reps? 18"? I purchased a new set of black 18" reps and had winter tyres fitted last weekend. I can't wait for winter now!

The Pretoria’s are 18 inch and genuine. Picked them up last week. Have u got any pics of your black ones? I nearly went for black

VW do an accessory version of the Pretoria alloy as an 18” - either in silver or gloss black. The 18” version is only available as an aftermarket accessory and not a factory fit option.

Silver version; https://vdsshop.co.uk/products/vw-18-pretoria-alloy-wheels Part no.; 5G0071498A AX1
Gloss black version; https://vdsshop.co.uk/products/vw-18-pretoria-alloy-wheel-set-18-x-7-5-5-x-112-et51-gloss-black Part no.; 5G0071498A 88Z

@Mikeyd1; the Prets look good. Hopefully you’ve found a set you’re happy with. Is that the third set of replacement wheels you’ve treated your car to? Were the set before the Prets (the ones in the second picture) a set 18” Seville’s off a GTD or 17” Rio de Janeiro’s from a GTE?

Yep that’s the part no I used for the silver version. I had them rapped in Dunlop sport max rt2s. My only gripe is the paint is just plain silver without metallic flecks. One thing I noticed is the steering feels lighter, I think these are a tad lighter than the Seville alloys they replaced. I want to get some springs now but do not want to avoid the remaining warranty

Pretoria’s are a nice looking wheel (one of VW’s nicest IMO) and being painted/powder coated, you get none of the almost inevitable white worm corrosion issues 2-3 years down the line that you get with diamond cut alloys.

Just be aware that the 19” version of Pretoria’s are quite prone to pothole damage - quite a few owners over on VWROC.com with the 19” version have had to replace buckled / cracked wheels. I don’t know if the 18” version is similarly affected but keep away from those ruts and potholes in our poorly maintained roads!

I tried uploading from my phone and it said to resize. Which I did and even below the required size and it still won't work.
