I haven't had any issues so far. I'm sure with it getting hotter out I'll have to back it down a little. I'll try to get a log later but it's difficult to get a decent log with my clutch slipping

You and I are pretty much identical (not settings wise though).

My times on the JB1 and JB4, both with the clutch slipping pretty damn bad. Right into fourth on the shift right? It hangs there for like 2-3 seconds then slips down? I just bought the SRE clutch and it is on its way. It is the only clutch with the stock DMF that uses an enhanced friction disc which is better under heat and made to slip a little. I am praying this is what lets me go like 12.4-12.6. :D
Interested to see a log with your settings though. That is a TON OF BOOST. I am sure you are pulling timing like mad lol.

Yep the clutch slips really bad going into 4th. I'm not really getting any timing pull. Every once and awhile I'll get up to 1.0 in a single cylinder. E85 and an intercooler really help

Yeah we have the same (IC/DP) but I don't have E85 in my area. It makes a huge difference based on the logs in the Map 6 thread. Updating OP now with your time.

Thanks for adding my time hopefully after I get my new clutch and some drag radials I'll be deep into the 12's. I just noticed my time is in the wrong place. I'm behind a slower time lol

Does anyone know an accessible 1/4 mile track near NYC? There are a few in upstate NY but they're 150+ miles away.

Englishtown is 35 miles from NYC.

Have you been there or did you just google it?

I'm a bit of a n00b in this, so wouldn't mind knowing a place others have been to with their GTIs so I don't look like a total tool when I line up against for 800bhp dragster that weighs 900 lbs.

It doesn't matter who you run against. You're there to get your own times. E-town is a good track.

Couldn't have said it better. I don't even use the tree when I run. I let it go green and focus on launching, regardless of lane beside me. I suggest you do the same.

OK thanks - I'll check it out. So I am looking at something like a 'race your ride' event on the Weds evenings or the grudge runs (muffled/unmuffled).

I usually spectate at Cecil County MD track. I see a lot of truck owners line up against people who are focused on getting a good time but they think they're in a head to head race.

I'll be trying to make it to Englishtown one night this season. I'm really anxious to see what the car runs

I'm curious too. You definitely won't be slow.

Hopefully within the next two weeks I'll be at the Sonoma Raceway dragstrip again this time with ideal weather and with any luck I'll break this thread's 1.8t record.
