Need help installing factory amp

Hey guys I’m trying to install a factory amp for my buddies mk7 but I came into a problem with connecting one of the cables. He bought an amp with the harness online from a junk yard so the harness was cut and I’m having a hard time figuring out how to connect one of the cables here. First of all I’m not sure what it is and second of all how do I fix it or do I need to pull another same cable like that this to fix the issue.

Edit: Maybe the optical cable for the head unit to Fender Amp?

That's the MOST optical bus between the Head unit in glovebox & under seat amp...

The head unit looks like this. I’m guessing I will have to pull a new wire because I don’t think this wire can be spliced. Is there a wiring diagram I can get to see where this cable comes from if I have to repull it?

Thats not the headunit..thats just the screen...

the headunit is in the glovebox....

Here are the main 3 pages from the VW ERWIN wiring books..these are for Dynaudio systems, so there might be some differences, but from what I know there is none in the wiring..

Is it possible to splice this cable or would I have to buy a new one?

It's a fiber optic cable. You could find an adapter of sorts but you will not solder or butt connect it.

Splicing fiber normally takes some skill or instruction and very expensive tools most people don't have sitting around gathering dust.. At least when it comes it IT and Networks. As most have said it should have a connector that goes from the CD player/Brain box in the glove box to the Amp - Unless you have digital dash, then the MOST cable will need a splitter to also connect to the digital dash.

Looking at your above pictures, it looks like the cable is intact and you have what look to be at least fiber connectors. The arrows you just need to ensure match up at both ends - It looks like each cable will be passing a signal one way using the two to complete the in/out loop. The ends look to be the correct type for the connectors.

Stealing a picture from a thread where a user was repairing a stolen radio with damaged harness -

The MOST cable should connect in that center grey connection on the back of the brain box in the glove box. From there for the Fender system it should connect to the Fender amp which is.. Under the seat I believe? Using second hand knowledge as I have a base MIB2 with Helix sub, but I've read on the different wirings.

Ye I’m looking into buying a new cable right now just searching where I can get one at a good price. I haven’t looked in the glove box yet since I don’t have the car here but looks pretty straight forward as far as pulling the new wire.l I would think.

Amazon has the cable you need for under 20 bucks. If you havent found one ill give you the link

thank you but I sent my buddy the first link that someone already posted it was 65 bucks
