Need help identifying this wire…

Does anyone know what this wire is for and what issues this would cause? I just recently noticed the wire was cut. By any chance does it have anything to do with the auto start/stop function?

Yes, that is the battery monitor connector. And start stop will not work without it.

One wire to 12V (red) the other to LIN Bus (Purple).
