NAR 2021 Maps Available for Download for MST2 (MIB2)

I also uploaded a backup of my V7 maps to that mibsolution.one website. Its listed under the Submit>maps directory if anyone wants to play with that.

I tried to download this but I'm getting an error "You are not allowed to access the requested item!" I actually get this when I try to download anything out of the submitted folders. Am I missing something?

I was wondering if that was the problem. I lost the V1 backup I made from my original sd card. I'm not having luck getting the version available on mibsolutions to work, even with deleting sds data so that it fits my 16gb card.

Did you do something wrong? I did a copy and paste and everything worked.

Love ordering a part and they send the wrong one. I ordered 5NA-919-866-BF for the new v11 maps and was sent 5NA-919-866-E v7 which I already have. Took nearly 2 weeks to get them. Anyone have a place they were able to get the right version from. Not trying the same place again.

Did you include your VIN as part of the order? They probably changed your order based on your VIN calling for the older version because it's the "compatible" one versus sending the update.

I haven't had issues with Jim Ellis or even my local VW dealer.

I stopped providing VIN when ordering from anywhere outside of my goto semi-local parts department. Got tired of places "correcting" my orders, though I understand where they're coming from.

I did. Paid almost twice as much from eBay but got them. It is plug and play. Just eject the existing sd card, insert the new one, reboot the head unit. No noticeable difference but just try to update maps every several years.

I'm running 0478 without issue. I can't imagine it's an FeC issue? @mr-fix any ideas? Is it because I have a PQ-MIB2? It's a TechniSat MST2 unit.

EDIT: Copying the OVERALL.NDS file found in maps\EEC\EEC_WLD from my original card, and replacing the one in the V11 download with it fixed the issue!

How big is the VW SD card you're putting them on? If its 16GB it's not going to work without deleting a bunch of maps. Regular SD cards won't work without a VW CID on the card. More info on the CID requirements is buried in this thread. There are ways to get cards with custom CIDs.

Both a 32GB card with the CID patch, and the genuine 16GB card with only the contiguous 48 transferred, so it's not a space issue. I think it’s a PQ-MIB2 issue.

The MIB2 Discord suggested to try transplanting the overall.nds file from my genuine card. I could also try patching in the MapCare FeC/SWaP for good measure.

Thank you for posting this. I finally got the 2021 maps working in my 2016 by copying the file from my original card!

Shout out to all the members helping out here. I'm a total newbie and first time VW owner. My 2016 was still loaded with 2015 maps, and I was able to get squared away with the updates. Thank you

I'm assuming I might be a good candidate for this upgrade? Just started doing this out of nowhere. 2017 Golf R USA.
